A resident of Hiran Magri sector 5 was arrested by police who was found with 2 fire weapons and 2 live bullets from Hathipol while he was searching for a prospective buyer of the same.

Chirag Jain of Shanti Nagar colony, sector 5 was rounded up by a joint team of Hathipol police and Special Task Force while he was roaming in the area with a country made pistol, a revolver and 2 live bullets in his custody.

The STF team consisting of Goverdhan Singh, Prahlad, Yogesh, Akhilesh, Dharmendra and Yashpal acted upon a tip off and caught the accused with illegal arms in his possession. The accused was booked under the sections of Arms Act, said police.

During the interrogation, the accused revealed of buying the weapons and bullets from an accused Vishnu Sen. Police is now investigating about the nexus of weapons and others involved in it.
