A 35-year-old man attempted to end his life by consuming poison. He also made his wife and three children consumed the poisonous substance which resulted in the death of his children and wife.

The shocking incident came to light when Sukher Police received information of a car fall into chirwa valley today morning.

Police rushed to the spot and pulled out all the victims. 3 teenage children (1 girl, 2 boys) and their mother were found dead while the man identified as Mahendra Singh Choudhary, resident of Beawer was unconscious and rushed to the hospital.

While bodies were kept in the mortuary, hospital staff at mortuary noticed that color of the bodies got changed. The staff immediately informed police about it.

On the other side after receiving treatment, Mahendra gained consciousness and asked about his family.

Police detained him and during initial interrogation, Mahendra confessed that he made his family including wife Priyanka and three children Purva, Vishal and Sagar consumed poison. He also consumed poison but survived.

SHO Gajendra Singh of Sukher Thana informed that during interrogation, Mahendra revealed that due to heavy financial debt he was going under mental stress and decided to kill his family and also take his own life.

He told police that, first he made his family consume poison and then he started driving towards Udaipur, at Chirwa he felt unconsciousness and the car fell down under the valley.

However police is not sure about the statement given by Mahendra but believe that the deaths are not occurred by accident as no external injury marks were seen on any of the deceased body.

The relatives of victims are informed and police has started investigation to know the background of Mahendra and his profession etc.

Police also doubt that the accused man might have staged the road accident to save him and consumed less amount of poison.
