Dhan Mandi police on Saturday arrested a man with fake notary seals, fake seals of domestic gas agencies, few customer cards and diaries issued in the name of various people. The accused also accepted committing black marketing of the domestic LPG cylinders.

Accused Naresh Sahu of Lakhara Chowk was arrested with a huge number of fake seals, stamp papers and diaries of various gas agencies in his possession and was found involved in black marketing of LPG cylinders.

Additional SP City Dr. Rajesh Bhardwaj informed that police is further investigating about other people’s involvement in the matter of making the fake seals and issuing stamp papers to the accused. The accused is being interrogated in relation to the number of gas agencies’ diaries.

SHO Dhan Mandi police Rajendra Kumar Jain informed that based on a tip-off on the suspicious activities of the accused from past few days, the police verified the information and raided his house, finding him guilty.

In the initial interrogation, Naresh accepted black marketing of domestic LPG cylinders for commercial use and making fake notary seals in the name of Notary Lalit Khamesra. When Lalit was called by the police for the verification, he was clueless about the entire incident and had no knowledge about the fake seals.

AdSP city also added that the LPG cylinders were sold illegally in the market for commercial use for which the accused was booked under various sections of Essential Commodities Act. A case has been registered and police is investigation further to find people involved in this racket.
