A man was murdered last night at Goverdhan Vilas situated Indra Nagar Colony.  Deceased Ramesh Khatik, a painter, was staying in a rented house of a widow from last 20 years.

Yesterday, the accused that was identified as Ghanshyam, a bank employee, came to the house to meet the woman and had an argument with Ramesh over an unknown issue.

The heated argument turned into an altercation and Ghanshyam allegedly attacked Ramesh with and iron bench.  Due to severe head injuries Ramesh died on the spot, while the accused fled away immediately.

The land lady informed the police about the incident.

Ramesh’s body has been shifted to the mortuary for postmortem and Police is on the lookout for the absconding accused.
