A 25-year-old man accused of attempting to rape a 2.5 year old girl has been arrested from Rishabhdev. The accused Shantilal Meena was absconding since Nov 2013 after a case of attempt to rape was lodged against him by victim’s parents.

Shantilal had lured the girl playing outside her house and took her to his house situated nearby. He allegedly tried to rape the child but when the girl started crying, he left her. Parents of child suspected something wrong happened with their child and rushed to police.

Hiran Magri Police was intensely searching the accused. A police official informed that after getting information that the accused is hiding in a Dharamshala at Rishabhdev, they immediately raided the place and arrested him.
