A 28-year-old married woman resident of Hiran Magri committed suicide by hanging herself. The body of the victim was handed over to the relatives after postmortem.

Father of the deceased woman has lodged complaint against husband and his relatives for her daughter’s death.

The father alleged that her daughter was tortured for dowry and her death was planned by her husband and his relatives.

According to the police, the couple was married for last 10 years and have three children. Relatives of the deceased including her brother and father alleged that their daughter was been abused and tortured after 1st year of marriage.

However, husband of the deceased denied all allegations and said that he had no issue with his wife.

According to police, the incident was first discovered by the 9 year old son of victim who saw his mother hanging from ceiling fan. The boy immediately informed his father who was out of the city for some family function.

Meanwhile victim was rushed to hospital where she was declared dead. A large number of people from both sides of families gathered outside mortuary and started arguing with each other.

Husband of the victim told police that his wife was not well from last few months and was undergoing treatment.

However, no one exactly actually knows the cause of suicide which is also presumed as alleged murder. Police has started investigation on the basis of complaint lodged by victim’s father.
