Once again MB Hospital of Udaipur witnessed clash between attendants of patient and resident doctors, which resulted into indefinite strike announced by Resident Doctors and police case is registered by both the parties.

Once again MB Hospital of Udaipur witnessed clash between attendants of patient and resident doctors, which resulted into indefinite strike announced by Resident Doctors and police case is registered by both the parties.

The incident took place last night when a 35-year-old female patient admitted in ward no.6 died and her attendants alleged negligence on doctor’s part.

During the argument with a female resident, a woman allegedly slapped her. Soon the atmosphere turned tense and a large number of resident doctors gathered at hospital premises.

The residents demanded action against the accused while the patient’s attendants lodged report of death caused by negligence and misbehaving.

Today resident doctors announced indefinite strike and condemned last night’s incident. Nursing staff of the hospital also supported resident doctors and said that, they will go on strike if no action will be taken against the accused in two days.

Narendra Dhakad, president of Udaipur Resident Doctor’s Association informed, “Police complaint is lodged against 2 men and 2 women attendants of the patient. We denounce the attack on our female resident doctor demand strict police action against the accused.”
