Mining Bribery Scandal accused sent under 5 days PC remand
The eight accused arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau have been sent under police custody remand till September 21st, said Public Prosecutor Rajesh Dhadke.
The eight accused arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau have been sent under police custody remand till September 21st, said Public Prosecutor Rajesh Dhadke. The accused were produced in ACB court on Thursday afternoon and after a long session of hearing they were sent under 5 days police custody remand.
SP ACB Jaipur Randhir Singh said that there were many things to be interrogated from the accused and also to recover from them. He said that till now Rs. 4 Cr 28 Lac have been seized by ACB in the raids conducted on Wednesday.
Singh informed that during the investigation, if any of the government officers will be found guilty, further decision of his suspension will be taken.
Kanchan Singh, Senior Advocate of Udaipur declared that the police custody remand is unnecessary in this case. He also said that their clients Sanjay Sethi, Shyam S. Singhvi and Dhirendra are innocent as no evidence could be produced against them; also they were not caught red-handed in this mining bribery scandal.
On the other hand, public prosecutor Rajesh Dhadke said that the accused are sent under Police Custody remand for 5 days. The case is under trial and many things will surface during this time. Besides this, the lawyer of accused Sher Khan came from Jodhpur and pleaded in favor of his client.
