Special Unit of Anti Corruption Bureau, Udaipur caught an Assistant Mining Engineer working at Mines and Geology Department Rishabh Dev and a clerk with Rs. 1 Lac bribe. Both were brought to Bureau‘s office at Udaipur, and search operation has been conducted at their residences.

The accused mining engineer, Duleshwar Meena and clerk Motilal Meena had allegedly demanded bribe to transfer the mining lease. The accused demanded Rs. 1.50 Lac from Dharm Chand Meena, owner of a green marble mine at Rishabh Dev.

Omesh Ojha, Adsp Special Unit, ACB informed, Dharam Chand Meena wanted to transfer his mining lease and for that, he went to meet Duleshvar Meena, Assistant Mining Engineer, but the Engineer asked him to meet his clerk Moti Lal Meena to get his work done.

When the applicant went to the clerk he demanded a bribe of 1.5 lacs for his work to transfer of the lease. The final negotiation was done on 1.15 lacs and the applicant requested the clerk to take 1 lac today and remaining 15 thousand rupees will be paid to him soon.

The matter was in process for the last 5 to 6 months and in this time period the applicant met the clerk several times to get his work done, but the applicant got annoyed and went to ACB special Unit when he saw that the clerk was misusing his power.

 ACB unit did the verification of the compliant and after confirming they raided the office of the accused engineer and arrested both the accused with the Rs.1 Lac bribe.

During the interrogation Moti Lal Meena, the clerk revealed that he had already taken an amount of rupees 50 thousand from the applicant mine owner in the past days for that work, informed Omesh Ojha.
