2 mobile phones and 5 SIM cards were found in an inspection in Udaipur Central Jail on Wednesday.

The mobile phones and SIM cards were seized and a case had been registered by the Jail administration at Surajpol police station against an unknown accused.

Inspection of the various barracks of the jail was carried out by Jail administration on Thursday also upon finding the Mobile phones & SIM cards, a day before.

Gajanan Jaat, one of the Jail guard, informed police that in a sudden checking of barrack no .10 of the Central Jail, he found 2 mobile phones which were kept on top of one of the wall of the barrack & 5 SIM cards, out of which 3 were found on the iron support of roof & 2 were found buried under the ground.

Surajpol police stated that the complaint has been registered & investigation initiated.

It may be noted that it was reported a couple of days back that a contract (supari) for killing a Jaipur businessman may have been given by a prisoner lodged in Udaipur Central Jail.
