A shop was raided at Chetak Circle yesterday and the owner arrested under the Copyright Act. The arrest was result of a complain lodged by a Copyright protected company, Movie Maker.

The company alleged that VIP Communications, a mobile shop at Chetak Circle was involved in downloading free songs from their site and selling them to mobile phone users for a fee, without taking a license or an approval from the owners.

The Hathipol Police, as a result of the complaint, arrested Mukesh Paliwal, the owner of the shop under Copyright Act.
