Bhopalpura Police has lodged the case of chain snatching that occurred at Ashok Nagar area today evening, where snatchers allegedly attacked a women pillion rider, who was going on scooty ridden by her daughter.

The two suspected snatchers, allegedly approached from behind, grabbed the chain and fled away. The victim mother-daughter tried to grab the culprits, but could not follow them for long.

According to sources, Sushila Kumawat (50) and her daughter Sonam (24), were going to their house located at Shobhagpura. Sonam was riding scooty and took the way through Jodhpur Dairy, suddenly two men on a black color motorcycle came from behind and snatched Sushila’s gold chain weighing 2 tola.

“We cried for help as there were many people standing and just staring at us, so we decided to follow the culprits”, said Sonam.

She continued “We followed them till Shastri Circle, but after that we lost the snatchers”.

Udaipur has passed through a series of chain snatching few months back, with this it seems to be coming back into action.

Bhopalpura Police has lodged the complaint and started the manhunt.
