Mumbai Police arrests 3 more Udaipurites in mail scam

Mumbai Police arrested three more people from Udaipur for their alleged involvement in the multi crore mail scams. This news was published in the daily DNA Newspaper.

Mumbai Police arrested three more people from Udaipur for their alleged involvement in the multi crore mail scams. This news was published in the daily DNA Newspaper. 

Two people, including a Nigerian national, Cyril and Deepak Sethia of Udaipur were arrested on 29th Jan from Mumbai after the duo hacked an email account of a senior Police official in Railways and demanded money from some of the known of Police officer.

Making further inroads into the investigation, Cyber Crime Cell of Mumbai Police recently arrested Pradeep Singh Rathore , 29, Shashikant Mishra, 24, and Ajay Sahu 24, all from Udaipur, and seized several ATM Cards, cheques and documents related to a bank.

Police is assuming that the gang involved in the crime has already collected over Rs.2 Crore through mails scam and other means of fraud.

Deepak Sethia, the key accused, revealed to Police that he used to get good commission from his Nigerian associate for completing the ‘task’.
