Police has apprehended key accused Ishtiyaq yesterday, under charges of murdering Sanjay Gussar. Ishtiyaq allegedly shot Sanjay on 24^th August at night in Savina over a personal hostility, following which Sanjay died during treatment in hospital.

Eight teams of the Police were formed to search the accused and several people were detained during raids. Ishtiyaq and his accomplice Aslam were arrested from a hideout, while another suspect Suhail is still absconding.

In the initial investigations, Police informed that both Ishtiyaq and Sanjay had a clash in January 2012 and a case was also registered then.

On 24^th August, Sanjay with a friend were standing outside the house of Ishtiyaq and talking to another friend while Ishtiyaq was sitting outside his house. As soon as Sanjay and his friend started their bike, the focus of the headlight fell on Ishtiyaq who got annoyed and allegedly abused them.

Later, Ishtiyaq with his friend Aslam and Suhail went near Sanjay’s house and shot him on his chest, Sanjay sustained critical injury and was rushed to hospital where he died during treatment.

Police is interrogating both the accused. Ishtiyaq is a history sheeter of the area.
