A man accused of murdering his own wife escaped from police custody. The shocking incident took place at Kurabad Police Station on Thursday night. Several teams of police are extensively searching the accused.

According to SHO Mitthu Singh, the accused Babulal Meena, resident of Kasiya Fala Village fled away soon after having dinner in the jail. The cops got alert and tried to chase him but the accused disappeared in the dark.

Police team has raided several places including residences of relatives and friends but could not trace the accused Babulal.

Babulal was arrested for murdering his wife Amba Bai. As per police, Babulal had beaten her wife to death after caught her with another man.

As per the SHO, the absconding accused reached his sister’s house at Utheda village, after staying for few minutes and changing clothes he went away.

Deputy SP Ranu Sharma informed that three teams are assigned for the search of the accused and he will be arrested soon.
