Nearly after two months since Devilal Gameti, a gardener at Municipal Corporation, was found murdered at Sukher, police is yet to make any headway towards solving the murder mystery.

It may be noted that during this time, three Investigation Officers have been changed but the culprit is still far from reach. Devilal’s widow Shantabai once again reached S.P office and pleaded for justice.

Shantabai told S.P Ajaypal Singh Lamba that the constable, Nahar Singh, who detained Devilal on 22^nd Nov was recently arrested by ACB on being caught red handed in a case of bribery. Shantbai doubts that her husband’s murder was linked to Nahar Singh.

She said that on 22^nd Nov, Nahar Singh arrested Devilal for consuming liquor. A few days later when the family reached Sukher Police Station, Nahar Singh informed that Devilal was released the same day that he was detained.

S.P Lamba assured quick justice to the family and told that the S.H.O of Sukher Police Station has already been removed from his post and a new investigation team will be commissioned to investigate the case.

Shantabai cautioned the S.P that if the murder is not solved in the next seven days, then their community will start a protest.
