Even after five days of extensive search operation led by police, there is no sign of the missing 35-year-old man, Laxminarayan Jhinger, from Pula. It may be noted that Jhinger has been missing since Friday 10th May and his belongings were found on the shore of Lake Badi on 11th May.
On the suspicion of being drowned and swept away, police has now shifted their search position from Lake Badi to nearby water bodies situated at Gorella Village etc.
Jhinger, who used to work as a sofa repairer, left his residence last Friday morning saying that he was going to his shop but when he didn’t come back for long, his family started searching for him and finally lodged a missing person’s complaint.
On the very next day, Layan’s scooty, clothes and shoes were found lying near Lake Badi which raised suspicion of his being drowned in the lake.
Team of rescue divers started search operation but even after several hours of searching there was no sign of the body. Police also tried to track Jhinger through his mobile phone but couldn’t succeed.
Police and the family members of the victim are hoping that he might not have drowned in Lake as the body normally floats up naturally in so many days. Ramesh, brother of Laxmi Narayan, informed police that he did not know swimming.
