3 notorious criminals of Udaipur who were on a run after threatening a man for his life were arrested on Monday. The trio were nabbed by the Hathipol police team and sent on police custody remand.

Accused Silvestre alias Dippu, Kiran Menaria and Azharuddin alias Azzu were nabbed by the police based on a tip off. They are habitual offenders and have various cases registered under their name.

SHO Rajesh Kumar informed that victim John Jacob of mission compound had lodged an FIR against the accused as they had threatened him for his life to either empty the house or they would set it on fire.

In the initial investigation, it was found that the trio had visited John’s house on 2^nd Feb and abused him. Upon his revolting, the three criminals threatened him to leave his house immediately. The accused also hinted John that if he did not empty the house, it would cost him his life, said SHO.

The cops started a search against the accused after the FIR. On Monday morning, they received a tip-off based on which they executed a raid and arrested the 3 of them.

SHO Rajesh further added that Silvestre is having a number of criminal cases against him including the most talked about day light murder of Hameed Lala in which he had active involvement along with the criminal Sohrabuddin. Kiran has around 17 cases and Azzu has 2 cases, including rape registered in his name at various police stations.

The police are interrogating them about the crime committed.
