A case of pick pocketing was reported in Hathipol Police station today by an aged couple from Tora village in Salumber. The victim doubts an unidentified man sitting close to him in an auto rickshaw they hired from the city bus stand to M.B Hospital of stealing the money.

75-year-old Motiram and his wife Dholi Bai (70) arrived at Udaipur for medical treatment and were carrying Rs. 1,800 for the purpose. They took an auto from Udiapol Bus Stand for M.B Hospital. According to Motiram, he was sitting alongside the auto driver while another man was sitting next to him.

When he reached hospital and checked his pocket to pay the auto fare he realized of being pick pocketed. The suspected man, sitting near him had already stepped out of the rickshaw before Motiram’s stop.

An FIR has been lodged by Motiram at the Hathipol Police Station.
