Chain Snatchers were in action today, when they pulled off a necklace and Mangalsutra off an aged lady, at Sector 3, Hiran Magri, near the BSNL office.

The lady was going to attend a wedding ceremony, pillion on her daughters scooty, when two persons came near them pushed and then snatched the necklaces off them.  During this activity both the ladies fell from their vehicle and the accused got to flee safely.

Gunbala Jain (59) resident of Sector 6 was going to attend a wedding ceremony  Pushkar Sadhna Center along with her daughter-in-law Pritibala who was driving the two wheeler.  When they reached near the BSNL office the bike borne accused came from behind and snatched the ornaments weighing approximately 5 tolas worn by Gunbala and they subsequently fell down.  In this whole scene a small piece of the necklaces broke and was found on the scene.  The shocked victim and her daughter-in-law immediately informed their family members about the mishap and also got to the Police,

The police was informed by the victim at around 2.15 pm and soon after getting the information of the mishap they rushed to the scene and noted the report.  Blockades have been setup in the city to nab the accused.
