Murderer of the 80 year old woman confessed today that he entered the house with the intention of robbing the old lady but when she started screaming, he panicked and attacked her with a sharp knife.

The accused Kamlesh Yadav stated to the police during interrogation that he attacked Kasturi Bai, resident of Kharpina Village on 25^th May when she was alone in her house.

During interrogation, Kamlesh told police that, he tried to snatch jewelries Kasturi Bai was wearing but she retaliated by shouting for help and pushed him back. Kamlesh took a knife kept in the kitchen and slit her throat.

Even after getting severely injured, the victim screamed for help and one of her relatives heard her voice and rushed to rescue her. Kamlesh tried to flee but was caught and handed over to police.

Also during interrogation, it came to light that few days back another woman of the village had registered a case of attempt of loot against Yadav, said police.
