A 22-year-old youth was arrested today for robbing Rs. 8 Lac from the boot space of a parked car yesterday evening.

Wajid, resident of Diwan Shah Colony confessed of committing the crime. Police has also recovered Rs.1.95 Lac and started searching for the key accused Kaleem alias Kalu, resident of Gausiya Colony.

Surajpol Police team with special police cracked the case within 10 hours of the crime reported on 7^th Oct by the victim Shrikant Jhawar.

S.P Mahesh Kumar Goyal informed that, eight investigation teams were made and around 11 suspects of the area were rounded-up. One of the suspects informed about the accused Wajid and his involvement in the crime.

After detaining Wajid, he informed everything about the robbery and also disclosed the identity of the main accused Kalu.

Wajid informed police that they were following the movement of the victim Shrikant Jawar for last one week. Yesterday when Jhawar kept the cash in his car and went inside the hotel, Kalu and Wajid by using an iron rod smashed the boot space and took the money.

Additional S.P Laxman Singh Rathore informed that they are raiding all possible hideouts of the key accused and hope to nab him soon.
