Cracking the nexus of illegal weapon trade, police arrested one more accused today and confiscated a pistol and one bullet from him.

The accused was identified as Kalyan Singh Garasia, resident of Village Gohwara, Bawalwada. According to police, he was arrested from Kharaberi Road where he was standing with the intention of selling the weapon.

Kalyan Singh’s name came to light after the arrest of Chetan Kumar who was caught with three pistols. Chetan informed police that he sold one pistol to Kalyan Singh.

Dhanraj Meena, SHO Bawalwada Police said, “The accused is booked under Arms Act and will be interrogated to see if he knows more people linked with the growing illegal trade.”

Kalyan Singh told police that he brought the gun for Rs.30000 from Chetan Kumar. Kalyan Singh is also involved in liquor trade.
