Ornaments worth Lacs Stolen
In a major theft that rocked the residents of Udaipur today, Gold ornaments weighing around 80 Tolas (around 800gms) and more than 2 kg of Silver ornaments including Rs.70,000 cash were stolen from the house of a jewelry trader at Hiran Magri last night.
In a major theft that rocked the residents of Udaipur today, Gold ornaments weighing around 80 Tolas (around 800gms) and more than 2 kg of Silver ornaments including Rs.70,000 cash were stolen from the house of a jewelry trader at Hiran Magri last night.
Total value of the stolen ornaments is estimated to be around Rs.24 Lac. Police have started investigations on evidence available and are expected to crack the case soon.
According to police, the incident took place at the house of Mukesh Gandhi, who owns a jewelry shop at Bada Bazar area.
The theft was discovered when Mukesh Gandhi and his family returned back from Dungerpur; the family was out of the city since Saturday.
Gandhi informed police that, after entering in the house, they got shocked seeing everything scattered on the floor; wardrobes and almirahs were lying open. They then got to estimating the valuables that were missing.
