Six people who were allegedly planning to commit robbery at a petrol pump situated in Goverdhan Vilas were arrested by police today afternoon. Police has seized two pistols, a knife and live bullets from the accused.

Six people who were allegedly planning to commit robbery at a petrol pump situated in Goverdhan Vilas were arrested by police today afternoon. Police has seized two pistols, a knife and live bullets from the accused.

The accused are identified as Balwant Singh, Vishu Sen, Ghamer Singh, Saluddin, Mahesh and Pritam. According to police, Balwant and Vishnu are history sheeters and have dozens of crimes registered against them in various police stations.

The police team from Goverdhan Vilas Police station came into action after receiving information about a group of armed people hiding under the bushes just behind Bharat Filling Station, situated at Transport Nagar.

A team of cops under the direction of SHO Verdichand rushed to the spot and arrested all the accused after closely monitoring the situation. SHO informed that the police team heard conversation of accused planning to rob the petrol pump.
