Police Arrests College Admission Fraudster
The key accused in Rs.25 Lac fraud in name of college admission was nabbed by Police today. The accused, Rampal Singh Tomar, was arrested from Bangalore and sent to police remand till 14th July.
The key accused in Rs.25 Lac fraud in name of college admission was nabbed by Police today. The accused, Rampal Singh Tomar ( seen in the photo), was arrested from Bangalore and sent to police remand till 14th July.
On 2nd May 2013, a case of fraud was registered by four students of Gujarat who were cheated by Tomar and his allies. Tomar and group had allegedly demanded Rs.30 Lac for per seat for MBBS course in Geetanjali College from the victim. After discussions between the victim and Tomar’s group, the victims ended up paying Rs.25 Lac advance.
Rampal Tomar was arrested from Garden City College where is enrolled for the course on physiotherapy.
Udaipur police was in search of the accused and finally received a tip off. Other accused, Rampratap Singh, Yashjot Singh Dhariwal and Niharika Singh, are still absconding.
