Police detain Shop owners for alleged Misbehavior with Woman at Dussehra

A case of assault was registered at Surajpol Police Station on Friday night at around 11.30 pm by a woman against some shopkeepers at the Nagar Parishad Diwali Fair; four were detained from the scene.

 

A case of assault was registered at Surajpol Police Station on Friday night at around 11.30 pm by a woman against some shopkeepers at the Nagar Parishad Diwali Fair; four were detained from the scene.

According to the police, Sultana W/o Sher Mohammed, resident of Dungarpur, has been staying at her parental house at Mukherjee chowk for a past few days. Today while she was enjoying the Fair, she made her 5 year old son Abdul Kadar to sit at the counter of a shop, on this the shop owner objected that started abusing her. Sultana resisted and asked the shop owner not to misbehave.

After this, the Shop owner started misbehaving with the lady. After some time, other neighboring shop keepers came there but instead of helping the lady, they joined the accused and started beating her. They alleged the lady of stealing cash from the shop. In the attack, she got injuries on her head and face.

After this, Sultana informed her brother Mohammed Arif, who rushed on the scene, took his sister to the Police Station and lodged FIR against the wrong doers. Acting on this quickly, police has detained four people from the shop started the investigation.
