Surajpol Police nabbed two habitual criminals while they were planning an armed attack on their victims. A country made pistol, live bullets and a knife was seized from both Akhtar Ali alias Ashu (20) resident of Dhanmandi and Sikandar alias Baba (19) resident of Kheradiwada.

According to Ad.S.P Dr Rajesh Bhardwaj, both accused were wanted in other offences like robbery, extortion and attempt of murder.

Ad.S.P praised the effort of constables Athar Ali and Ganesh Singh for their strong network which led to the arrest of the offenders.

Upon interrogation, the accused revealed that they were planning to attack three people who were about to appear in court as witness against them. The mastermind of the crime was Akhtar who has 7 cases registered against him in Dhanmandi Police Station.
