After waiting of several months, the key accused of the fake passport case that hit the local media headlines for many days,
Rajni Sharma alias Muskan was detained by police today and was later sent to a two day remand by Udaipur court. Rajni was accompanied with her months old baby. She was arrested from her residence at Greater Noida by Surajpol Police on the charges of making passport on forge documents.
The case came into light after a complaint against Muskan was lodged, on Nov 2012, for providing fake educational certificate for passport verification. The name of Bharat Sharma, founder of Nand Ganga Sansthaan, was revealed in the investigations that followed. Sharma was then arrested on the basis of suspicion but was later released on bail.
With the arrest of Muskan, police is hoping to get answers to several unsolved questions on the issue of fake passport, mainly about the
role of Bharat Sharma in this case. Udaipur police came to know about Muskan and her real identity from Himachal Pradesh through her colleague.
