Pertaining to law and order of the city due to the upcoming political meeting, Udaipur police launched sudden inspection of hotels and dharmshalas.

Under the direction of District S.P Ajaypal Singh Lamba, the team headed by DySP Goverdhan Lal checked many hotels in the city areas and questioned people who were found suspicious. However, no arrests were made during the check but the sudden scrutiny caused little panic among people.

“We have inspected lodging houses, hotels and dharamshalas situated near bus stand and railway station. The drive was conducted to ensure safety and security of the people,” said a police official.
