Sukher Police recovered more statues today from the ashram of ‘Baba’ Ratandev Suri, who was arrested yesterday with 48 ancient statues kept illegally inside the ashram at Kailashpuri.

10 more statues were found today from different areas of the ashram, all idols are seized by the police while the accused is sent on seven day police remand.

On the other hand, a group of people belonging to Jain Shvetambar Mahasabha reached collectorate and presented a memorandum against the arrest of Ratandev Suri, who they claim as an innocent person.

The representatives alleged that Ratandev Suri has become the victim of a conspiracy against him and all the statues seized by police are property of Adhbudhgiri Jain Temple. Ratandev Suri was only the caretaker of the temple and the idols.

However police claims that all statues are allegedly stolen from various temples and Ratandev Suri is a mastermind. He also had several police cases lodged against him in past.
