Goverdhan Vilas Police caught an illegal liquor consignment of worth Rs.30 Lac and arrested two people including the truck driver. The consignment was on the way to Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Police had installed barricades near Balicha today morning after receiving information from sources that a truck full of liquor is going towards Gujarat. Police stopped the truck and found that the container was full of various brands of liquor.

Two people identified as Sohanlal Dangi and Shankarlal Khatik were arrested and the truck with 823 cartons of liquor was seized.

In initial interrogation, the accused revealed the consignment was to be delivered in Ahmedabad and the liquor was manufactured in Haryana.

Badrilal, SHO, Goverdhan Vilas Police Station said that the interrogation is still on and they are trying to break the nexus of liquor smugglers.
