An accused lodged in Jaipur Jail has been taken on production warrant by Udaipur Police for his involvement in attempt to loot an ATM at Pratapnagar few months back.

The accused 23 year old Raju is notorious criminal with 56 cases registered against him in different cities of Rajasthan.

Udaipur Police who is investigating the case has zeroed on Raju as a prime suspect.

Police informed that on the night of incident, the suspected robbers tried to break the ATM of Axis Bank at Pratap Nagar but they failed after facing retaliation by the guard. During the clash, a police patrol vehicle came there but the robbers kidnapped the guard and fled away. The guard was later found safe in a deserted area.

Since then police was trying to identify the accused involved in the case. Raju was identified as one of the accused.
