Hathipol Police had forcefully vacant the encroachment done by a shopkeeper outside his shop at Panchwati. The shopkeeper had set an additional counter for firecrackers outside his shop.

Police objected and asked the owner to move his items in the shop but when the shopkeeper ignored the request, Police forcefully emptied the place and warned for legal action.

The situation turned a little tense as lots of people including nearby shopkeepers gathered to witness police action.

Due to Diwali Celebration, lots of shopkeepers in the city have installed additional table outside their shops to display firecrackers and other festive items. The encroachment is causing problems for commuters.
