23-year-old student Rahul Teli died today morning after he was shot by an unknown man on Sunday evening at Pratap Nagar vegetable market.

Local traders and residents of Pratap Nagar area kept their shops closed and also tried to block the main road in protest of the horrifying attack.

Police has detained a minor boy as one of the suspects but no further information has been disclosed yet.

Rahul had sustained severe head injury when an unknown man shot him with close range. Rahul was rushed to local hospital but later shifted to Ahmedabad. His condition was very critical as the bullet was stuck in his head.

People of the locality strongly demanded arrest of the main accused and kept their business closed.

According to police, previously it was informed that the attacker fled in an auto rickshaw but today police stated that the attacker fled away on motorbike and not in a rickshaw.

The situation turned bit tense at mortuary of MB Hospital when the body of the deceased was handed over to his family. Rahul was student of Shramjeevi College and also attending the vegetable shop owned by his mother.

According to sources, students of Shramjeevi might protest tomorrow regarding the incident.

If sources are to be believed, the murder was said to be provoked out of business rivalry. However other reasons are also linked with it.

On evening of 23rd Feb, Rahul was sitting on his shop, when a man with his face covered came near Rahul and instantly fired on him with close range. The victim sustained severe injuries and underwent treatment for 36 hours, but succumbed to his injuries.
