Refusing to handover the patient’s discharge certificate, resident doctors at MB Hospital allegedly manhandled a priest of the Kali Kalyan Dham situated at Varda, Dungarpur.

The situation turned tense when supporters of the priest, Mahant Bheem Singh Chauhan and resident doctors came face-to-face. However, after police intervention, the case got resolved.

According to Mahant, five days ago, he admitted a child suffering from a paralysis attack. The child is his relative. After noticing no significant improvement in the health of patient, Mahant Bheem Singh decided to take the child to Gujarat for treatment.

When he approached a Resident Doctor on duty for a discharge certificate, the Doctor allegedly denied which eventually ignited an argument between both the doctor and Mahant Bheem Singh Chauhan. Chauhan alleged that the doctors misbehaved with him.

According to the Doctors, they were ready to issue a discharge card but Mahant Chauhan was demanding the original documents, which they don’t give to any patient according to the Hospital’s regulations.

The Police team led by C.I Nandram Bhadu reached MB Hospital and took the situation under control.

No case has been registered against anyone as yet.
