Dissatisfied by the police action regarding a woman’s death in MB Hospital on 2 June, family members of the deceased patient met Additional Superintendent of Police and demanded strict legal action against accused resident doctors for alleged negligence that caused patient’s death.

According to the report lodged by patient’s family, relatives of the patient woman had a quarrel with the female resident doctor on 2nd June. Family members were angry over the death of their patient. Soon a group of resident doctors gathered and allegedly abused them physically and verbally.

Following the incident, both resident doctors and relatives of the patient lodged police report against each other. On the next day, police arrested two women relatives of the patient.

Today, the relatives reached Ad. S.P Hanuman Prasad’s office and appealed to take action against resident doctors.

“Police has arrested two females of victim’s family but didn’t take any action against the accused resident doctors,” said Shaukat Hussain president of Raza Welfare Society. ABVP student leaders also came forward in support of patient’s family.

Ad.S.P Hanuman Prasad has assured to take action against the accused in next four days.
