An auto rickshaw driver allegedly snatched purse containing 2.5 tola gold chain from a female passenger and fled away. The incident occurred when the passenger was paying the fare.

The victim Kailashi Devi, resident of Rampura lodged complaint that she boarded an auto from city to Rampura. When they reached the destination, the victim had an argument with rickshaw driver over the fare. Suddenly, the rickshaw driver snatched her purse and fled away.

The shocked victim shouted for help but the accused could not be nabbed by locals.

Victim immediately rushed to her house and informed her son, who immediately contacted police.
