Rs. 25 Lac fraud for Admission at Geetanjali Medical CollegeFour persons were duped to the extent of Rs. 25 lac by a team of alleged fraudsters, on false promises of facilitating admission to the MBBS course at Geetanjali Medical College, Udaipur.

A case of fraud was registered at the Surajpol Police Station against Rampal Tomar, Ram Pratap Singh Tomar, Yashjot Singh Dhariwal and Niharika Singh by the victims Saket Patel, Ketul Patel, Hemandra Choudhary and Harpil Barot. All the victim students belong to Gujarat.

According to sources, all four students from Gujarat had a common friend in Udaipur, Yatendra Dadich, resident of Harsh Nagar, Rampura. They asked Yatendra to facilitate the admissions for the 2012 batches. Yatendra contacted a person named Nitin Nagda, who connected them to the accused gang.

The accused demanded a donation of Rs. 30 Lac per seat for getting them admission in the Management quota. A meeting was arranged between the two groups on 9th July 2012 in Hotel Vinayak at Kalaji Goraji. Here the victims paid Rs. 25 Lac to the accused.

After a while, Yatindra received an email from Yashpal and Rampal, asking him to contact Geetanjali Medical College and check their admission for July and August 2012. When the students checked with the College, they were refused of any such admissions or any related requests being on their records.

When the shocked victims informed the accused of the refusal from the college, the accused stalled the victims with excuses for a few days. After that there was no communication from the accused.

Subsequent to waiting for a while and trying to follow up, the victims finally lodged a F.I.R with the Surajpol Police Station. The Police have started their investigations.
