A truck carrying illegal liquor worth more than Rs. 30 lacs was seized by the Dabok police yesterday. The truck was seized from the Dabok Airport road on a tip off that it contained illegal liquor and was coming towards the city from Uttar Pradesh and going towards Gujarat.

On getting this information, Dabok Police setup road blocks on the route in the evening and caught the container. On searching the container, 900 cartoons of illegal liquor were recovered. Out of the 900, nearly 650 cartoons were of branded Whisky and 250 cartoons contained bottles of Beer.

The accused driver caught was identified as Jitendra Singh Choudahry resident of Aligarh. In the interrogation, he revealed that his friend Salim had asked him to deliver the container from U.P to Gujarat via Rajasthan, as per Police.
