A case of assault and loot was registered today after Rs. 5 lac was looted from a General Store at Debari.

 

A case of assault and loot was registered today after Rs. 5 lac was looted from a General Store at Debari.

Gopal Das Vaishnav, a resident of Debari, runs a shop below his home at Debari. He had kept Rs. 5 Lac at his home after a land deal, and had gone to the local Police station to discuss and settle a pending matter.

As per the Police, a Scorpio car, consisting of 8-10 people arrived at his shop when he was away at the Police station. They ransacked the shop and fled away with the money. Lokesh Vaishnav, Gopal’s son, ran to the roof of the shop and informed Gopal. As Gopal was at the Police station, he immediately asked the Police to rush to his shop.

As per Gopal, two of the persons involed in the loot and assault were identified by Lokesh as Shru Gayri, resident of Titardi Village and Mahendra Singh, resident of Debari. The case has been registered and the Police have commenced their search for the assailants.
