A secret donation to the Narayan Seva Sansthan was reportedly stolen from an employee of the Sansthan who was carrying the funds from Mumbai to Udaipur.

Mangi Lal Gayri, an employee of the Narayan Seva Sansthan was sent to Mumbai by the Sansthan five days back to receive a secret donation from a firm named ‘Shree Krishna’.  Mangi Lal took the money, which was Rs. 10.5 lac cash and he gave a receipt of the Sansthan to the donor.

Rakesh Sharma, a representative of the donor, saw Mangi Lal off in an Udaipur bound bus.  When the bus reached Vasai, Mangi Lal disembarked from the bus to use the toilet, leaving the cash filled bag in the vehicle.  However, when he returned to the seat, he found the bag to be there, but with Rs. 8 lac missing, as per the incident narrated by Mangi Lal to the Police.

Further, according to Hiran Magri police, Mangi Lal informed Prashant Agarwal, Sangthan Sachiv of Narayan Seva Sansthan about the mishap at around 11 pm last night, hearing of which, Prashant asked Mangi Lal to lodge a complaint with the Vasai Police Station.  However, Mangi Lal reached Udaipur today at 2pm and lodged a complaint at the Hiran Magri Police Station.

Earlier, as per reports, when Mangi Lal had taken the cash, he was advised not to carry the huge amount of cash with him and rather deposit the cash in the Bank account of the Sansthan, prior to leaving on his journey to Udaipur.  Mangi Lal did not take heed to the advice, as per Prashant Agarwal.

The Hiran Magri police, with whom the case has been registered, have started the investigations on the case and a team of police will be sent to Vasai, Mumbai for further investigations.
