Hotel Leela Palace’s security was breached last night of 18 ^th April when a businessman from Jaipur lost his bag containing Rs. 1 lakh cash and a laptop at the Hotel’s restaurant. Amitesh Garg who was staying at the Hotel came to Udaipur for business purposes. Last night, when he went to the restaurant at the hotel he kept his bag containing cash and his laptop on the table and stepped out for a moment. When he returned, both the items had disappeared, as per the police report. Amitesh is a contractor who will be providing tents for the Royal weddings that are slated to be held at the Leela in the coming months. As per the police, “The hotel administration is unaware of the incident”. An FIR has been lodged by the victim and the police have started their investigations. “There is a possibility of someone from the Hotel staff involved in the crime as the security system of the Hotel is very sophisticated and it is not so easy for committing such an act by an outsider,” says a Police Officer who does not wish to disclose his name .
