While Udaipur Police is still trying to crack several pending cases of thefts and robberies which took place recently, another case of robbery shook the police department today when a man was allegedly robbed of Rs.30000 at gunpoint by two unidentified men at Bank Tiraha, Bapu Bazar.
The incident occurred very next day after a robbery at gunpoint was reported in Patel Circle area on October 2nd.
Unlike the last robbery, this time suspected muggers used different modus operandi and made the circumstances too dramatic and confusing for the victim.
According to the police, today at 11:30 in morning, the victim Indradas Vaishnav went to deposit Rs.30000 given by his employer Vijay Gopaliya at SBI Bank. Indradas works as a driver of Vijay Gopaliya who owns a petrol pump at Ratanpur border.
When Vaishnav was standing in the queue at bank, he was approached by two unknown men who insisted him to move away his two-wheeler which was parked just outside their shop.
Believing them, Vaishnav went with both men but while moving down from the bank building, the duo allegedly took out gun and asked him to give all the cash he has.
Shocked with the situation, Vaishnav handed over the amount of Rs.30,000. According to Vaishnav, both men made him walk from Bank Tiraha till Ashwini Bazar and threatened to kill if he tries to retaliate.
After walking till Ashwini Bazar, both of them took an auto rickshaw and fled away with the cash leaving Indradas Vaishnav in a state of shock.
A report was lodged at Surajpol Police station by Vijay Gopaliya, the employer of the victim.
