A daylight robbery of Rs.49000 was reported from Sunderwas today morning. The incident took place inside the Bank of Baroda (Sunderwas) where two men allegedly tricked the victim Kaludas Vairagi while filling the deposit slip and fled away taking the cash.

Unfortunately, soon after the incident, when Kaluldas was going towards the Police Station, a roadways bus hit him. Kaludas got severely injured and is admitted in a private hospital. His condition is said to be very critical.

Pratap Nagar Police has started investigation of robbery and also lodged naka bandi in different areas of the city. However there is no clue of the accused robbers.

Kaludas Vairagi is a servant of Kundanlal Jain, resident of Sunderwas, who asked Kaludas to deposit cash in the Bank of Baroda branch of Sunderwas. Two suspects were standing near Kaludas while he was filling the deposit slip keeping the cash bag on counter. The duo distracted Kaludas and took away the cash Rs.49000.

Correction: Earlier it was written that the robbers snatched bag containing cash while victim was proceeding towards bank. This information was wrong and corrected that the incident took place inside the bank when the victim was filling deposit slip and got distracted by the accused.
