Sandalwood thieves were back in business as an entire sandalwood tree was cut down and stolen from the Gulab Bagh premises. This is the third such incident in Gulab Bagh in last three days.

Sandalwood thieves were back in business as an entire sandalwood tree was cut down and stolen from the Gulab Bagh premises. This is the third such incident in Gulab Bagh in last three days.

According to sources, the tree stolen was situated near Hanuman Temple at Gulab Bagh.

Om Prakash Khokhawat, a member of voluntary caretaking committee of Gulab Bagh, informed that few days back thieves had cut two branches of a sandalwood tree that was situated near the residence of Garden Superintendent. Further, just two days back, another branch was cut down.

The committee demanded arrest of the sandalwood thieves and an increased security in the garden.

According to Om Prakash, over 150 sandalwood trees have been stolen till now from Gulab Bagh.
