Sandalwood Tree stolen from Gulab Bagh

A 15ft. long sandalwood trunk has been stolen from Gulab Bagh yesterday after midnight; an FIR has been lodged with Surajpol Police Station by garden’s superintendent Ganpatlal Meena. According to the complaint, it is alleged that a group of thieves forced entered into gulab bagh after midnight and cut considerably big sandalwood tree, the suspected thieves pulled the tree by breaking the metallic tree guard.

A 15ft. long sandalwood trunk has been stolen from Gulab Bagh yesterday after midnight; an FIR has been lodged with Surajpol Police Station by garden’s superintendent Ganpatlal Meena.

According to the complaint, it is alleged that a group of thieves forced entered into gulab bagh after midnight and cut considerably big sandalwood tree, the suspected thieves pulled the tree by breaking the metallic tree guard.

Though they separated the 15ft wooden log and left the remaining portion there only, as said in first information report received by police official through post today. The leftover wood was shifted back by garden authorities.

Ganpatlal Meena, the superintendent of garden could not able to contact till evening after the sources informed that he is on a day-off.

According to sources, many a times thieves have stolen sandalwood tree from the area but no stern action have been taken by garden administration or police.

Like the zoo of Gulab Bagh which is on complete surveillance mode after installing CCTV camera, there is a need to apply same on whole vicinity to stop the tree getting stolen.
