The Udaipur Police has finally booked and arrested Hitesh Ameta, son of Professor Ramesh Ameta for allegedly killing his father over a property dispute.

The sensational double murders of a retired professor and his servant at Sanwariya Guest House shook the City of Lakes last week.

Hariprasad Sharma, S.P Udaipur said, “We arrested Hitesh as per the evidences obtained during investigation, the interrogation will continue for more days”.

There are several points assumed in this case.  Police suspected Hitesh because he had threatened his father and his domestic help several times.

As per the police, Ramesh Ameta owned several properties and Hitesh wanted to have a big share in his name and because of that quarrels between both father and son was often noted.

The brutal murders were discovered on June 29, when a few people found dead bodies lying in the guest house.

Although, in several rounds of interrogations with the detained suspects including a woman who had an alleged relation with the assassinated ex-Professor Ramesh Ameta, no strong clue was found to reach the culprit who killed the Professor and his aide Deva Meena.

A man named Kishan Parihar was also interrogated after it was discovered that he had a relation with the suspected woman who was also very close to Ameta; Parihar didn’t liked her relation with 65-year-old Ameta.

Initially, after finding few things including some female clothes from the murder spot and knowing about Ameta’s background and his relation with the woman, Police had zeroed on two people, mainly Ameta’s elder son Hitesh and the woman mate.
