SBBJ ATM Robbery Stalled
An attempt to rob an ATM was foiled yesterday after the would be thieves ran away from the scene when the police arrived.
An attempt to rob an ATM was foiled yesterday after the would be thieves ran away from the scene when the police arrived. Two men had entered an SBBJ ATM at Patel Circle and managed to access the ATM strong room. When they could not find anything apart from spares, they returned with iron rods to try and break open the machine. While they were unable to break the ATM, a few people noticed the movement and informed the police. When the police came, the duo ran away. CCTV footage of the ATM have shown two persons aged 25 and 30 performing the activity. The police have started a search based on the footage, while at the same time, have instructed the bank to appoint a security guard at the ATM.
