A school girl studying in 12th commerce lodged an FIR at Hiran Magri police station against an accused for harassing her & forcing her to get married with him. Based on the victim’s report, a case has been filed against the accused and an investigation of the matter has been started.

The victim girl, resident of Gayatri Nagar area of Hiran Magri reported against an accused Akash Astana of the same area for harassing her to get married to him. She also reported the police that she was being harassed by the accused from the last 4 years over the same demand.

According to the victim, the accused used to follow her on her way to the coaching class. Following this, her parents sent her to her grandparent’s house for a year and when she returned back to Udaipur, the accused followed the same behavior. The limits crossed when the accused grabbed hold of the victim’s hand on 28th November in the evening while she was going towards her coaching center alone and allegedly beat her due to her refusal to get married to him.

The parents lodged a complaint against the accused on 28th November after which he was detained by the police under section 151 of CRPC. But the victim again turned up on Saturday to file another complaint against the accused for threatening her and of harassment, said SHO Chagan Purohit, Hiran Magri police station.

SHO further informed that during the initial investigation of the matter it came out that the victim girl and her family had stayed at accused Akash’s house once for a while as tenants. Since then he developed a liking for her and forced her to get married to him.
